Force India delay line-up confirmation

Force India will not confirm their 2012 driver line-up at this weekend's Brazilian GP, opting to delay it for a "number" of reasons.

Although no one at Force India has even hinted at who their two drivers will be for next year's Championship, it is widely believed that Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg already have contracts in place.

That means Adrian Sutil is without a drive for 2012, although, according to rumours, that won't be for long either.

The German is reportedly in talks with Williams after their move to sign Kimi Raikkonen fell through when the Finn asked for a stake in the F1 team.

However, while Sutil is negotiating with Williams, his current team boss Vijay Mallay is not willing to make an announcement.

"He (Mallya) might be waiting a little longer before he finalises it," revealed vice-principal Rob Fernley.

"There are a number of things holding it up. Obviously, it is only fair we deal with the drivers.

"We have three very talented drivers and we need to make sure the one that is going to be disappointed has the best opportunity to position himself and that's our priority.

"Once we are clear with all those programmes, Vijay will announce it."

Force India will instead confirm their line-up at the team's end of season Christmas party on 15th December.

"I'm sure that's the date he's always set," Fernley said. "If you remember, he said December 15. That would be consistent with what he has always projected."
