Hulkenberg: No way out

Hulkenberg: No way out

Nico Hulkenberg says he had "no way" of avoiding contact in Abu Dhabi when he got sandwiched between a Williams and his own team-mate.

Starting tenth on the grid, the Force India driver did not get off the grid as well as he had hoped.

Trying to stay in the running, he pushed his car into the middle of a sandwich that included his own team-mate Paul di Resta and Bruno Senna.

Three did not go into one, though, and all three cars were damaged with Hulkenberg being booted into retirement.

"I think I just had quite a bad start, bad run into Turn One and got sandwiched," he told the BBC.

"I was halfway between the cars and there was no way out and there was contact."
