Senna: I was a passenger

Bruno Senna says there was nothing he could have done to prevent his accident after aquaplaning on standing water in Friday's second practice.

Attempting to learn as much as possible in the treacherous conditions in Friday's second practice for the British GP, the Williams driver lost control of his car when he hit a patch of standing water.

Senna aquaplaned off the track and into the barriers, causing significant damage to his Williams.

"Unfortunately we didn't have a very productive day in the end," said the Brazilian.

"The weather was poor weather with puddles on the track during second practice.

"On my second run, I aquaplaned on some deep water at the high speed Becketts section of the track and from that point was I a passenger until the car hit the wall.

"It was quite a heavy accident but I am okay.

"There is a lot of damage to the car but the Williams team will, I'm sure, do a great job of getting it back into shape."
