Sebastian Vettel either got over his disappointment very quickly or toed the party line after losing out to Mark Webber in qualifying for the Korean GP.

The German, who has moved to within four points of the Championship lead after back-to-back race victories in Singapore and Japan, was the favourite to take pole in Korea.

However, it was not to be as the Red Bull racer brought his RB8 across the line 0.074s down on team-mate Webber's best.

And Vettel was not happy, feeling that Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who he came up behind, had cost him time.

"You're P2. Your lap wasn't good enough. Mark is P1," his pit wall informed him over the radio.

Vettel replied: "Why did you not tell me about Massa?"

Engineer replies: "What was I supposed to say?"

The 25-year-old, though, put that behind him when he faced the media in the post-qualifying press conference.

"Overall I think we can be happy with the result," he said.

"We were quite quick in the first part of qualifying, we were quite quick in the second.

"The last run - I don't want to blame it on Felipe. I thought he was coming in but he wasn't and I caught him in the last sector so I had to back off. It's not ideal.

"Nevertheless, the second lap wasn't good enough. I lost a little bit in middle sector which has seemed to be okay all weekend."

Now looking ahead to Sunday's grand prix, the German reckons he's in a good position to attack for the victory.

"I think second is a good position to start with. There's a long straight after the start so it could be interesting tomorrow."
