Kimi unfazed by lack of track-time

Kimi Raikkonen says he's not too worried about his limited running in Monaco on Thursday - after all, it's not like the track has changed much.

Raikkonen, who won the Monaco Grand Prix back in 2005 with McLaren, was not able to contest the morning's first practice due to issues with his steering.

Not for the first time this season, the Lotus driver was not happy with his steering after his installation lap, forcing his mechanics to take the time to change it.

That meant the Finn completed just one lap - that initial installation lap - throughout the first 90 minutes.

"It's good to be back in Monaco even if we missed some running today," Raikkonen.

"The steering wasn't to my liking so the team changed it for me. It's something you change for Monaco and there's no way of knowing what it will be like beforehand."

The Finn's lack of running was compounded by rain in the afternoon that limited him to 25 laps over the second 90-minute long session.

"The car felt good in the second session, though it was obviously pretty slippery when the track was wet."

Raikkonen, though, insist too worried about his lack of track-time.

"I would have liked to have had more time in the car, but Monaco's a track I know pretty well and it hasn't changed much over the years."

He added: "Let's see what happens tomorrow."
