Away from the media spotlight, the Lotus Formula One driver and Marion Jolles, who works for French TV channel TF1 as a motorsport reporter, tied the knot in Chamonix, France.
'At 17:00 on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of family and close friends - including Lotus F1 Team Principal Eric Boullier - Romain became husband to long-term partner Marion on a warm and sunny day in Chamonix,' said a statement from his team.
'So once again, a big 'Félicitations' to Romain and Marion from all of us at Lotus F1 Team, and all the best for a long and happy future together!'
