Kobayashi: No confidence in the car

Kamui Kobayashi has put his disappointing performance in qualifying for the Singapore GP down to a lack of confidence in his Sauber.

Coming off the high of Monza, Sauber were brought back down rather abruptly in Singapore where they found themselves lacking pace at the high downforce circuit.

That lack of pace was especially apparent during qualifying when Kobayashi finished down in 18th place, effectively dropping out at the very first hurdle.

Facing the media in the immediate aftermath, he said: "I have no confidence in car. We're struggling. It has huge oversteer.

"We cannot find a reason, no idea why it's so slow."

His team-mate Sergio Perez qualified 14th.
