Formula One is in for a hot and humid weekend in Malaysia with thunderstorms forecast.

As to be expected at this time of year in Malaysia, heat and rain will be the order of the weekend.

Heavy rain is expected during Friday's first practice while showers are forecast for later in the afternoon. The day's high will be 30'C.

It is more of the same on Saturday with heavy rain in the morning and thundery showers during qualifying while the conditions will continue on Sunday.

At 16h00, which is the time the race is set to begin, the rain should be lessening, however, instead there will be intermittent thunder showers.

Humdity is forecast at 77 percent while the high for race day in 30'C.
