Mark Webber held onto his Monaco GP win after Ferrari denied even having plans to protest the legality of the RB8.
In the hours ahead of the Monte Carlo race there were rumours that rivals could protest in light of concerns over the legality of the Red Bull racer.
Rivals had raised questioned about a 'hole' in the floor of the RB8, which is found in the surface of the step plane directly in front of the rear tyres.
Under article 3.12.5 of F1's technical rules, cars are not supposed to have any hole in the floor in certain areas.
This led to reports that Ferrari could protest the Monaco result.
McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh told Sky Sports F1 that he had "heard that Ferrari are protesting but haven't seen the protest yet, so I guess you better ask them."
Ferrari, though, denied they had any intension of launching a protest.
"I heard about that in terms of discussion about these kind of things and for sure we need a clarification on this point," team boss Stefano Domenicali.
"At the moment I have no information that we are going in this direction [a protest]."
