The stakes couldn't be much higher for Red Bull and Ferrari at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.
Either Sebastian Vettel or Fernando Alonso will walk away with the 2012 World Championship come Sunday evening and both teams know exactly what they need to do.
Vettel heads into the final race of the campaign with a 13-point lead over his Ferrari rival, knowing that a place on the podium will seal the deal for him.
His team principal Christian Horner says they won't change their ways and will continue to use the method that worked for them most of this campaign.
"We just have to approach the next race as we have the previous 19," Horner is quoted as saying by Autosport
"We have to go there, attack the weekend, and get the best out of ourselves; the car, the strategy, the drivers, and reliability.
"Anything can happen, as we have seen this season. But it is good to be going there with a lead, and we go there determined to close the job off."
Meanwhile, Alonso knows he can't afford to finish any lower than third place to stand any chance of winning the title.
Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali says his squad will only focus on their job and not worry about the permutations until the race is over.
"Pragmatically speaking we know that the result has to be better. We have to be in front of Sebastian and we need some drivers in the middle, without thinking of the worst-case scenario," the Italian said.
"And this is the approach that we have to have. We know that it's not easy because he's driving very well and he has a very quick car. But that doesn't change what we have to do. We have to focus on our job and see what's the outcome of the race.
"We have seen that Mark [Webber] had a reliability issue and that can happen every time. But I want to stay concentrated on the job we have to do, and prepare the car in the best way we can."
Alonso could only manage a P9 during qualifying at the US GP and Domenicali admits they can't afford another performance like at Interlagos.
"We always say it, but we need to improve our qualifying pace," he said. "We had one of the worst qualifyings in our championship and we need to make sure that will not happen in Brazil."
