Whiting: No complaints

Charlie Whiting has revealed that none of the teams complained when they were put out of their "misery" after qualifying was postponed.

Following heavy rain, Q1 was delayed by 30 minutes and with the rain again coming down as the session concluded, Q2 was delayed.

After 50 minutes, though, Race Control announced that Q2 and Q3 would now take place on Sunday morning due to the poor conditions.

The decision went down well with all the teams, according to FIA race director Whiting.

"We asked the stewards to have a chat because of the heavy rain and bad light and they decided it was just best to put everybody out of their misery," he said.

"I've not heard any complaints from the teams about the decision."
