Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has urged everyone at Maranello to make sure that Fernando Alonso's Malaysian GP win is not an "isolated one".
Very few people gave Alonso and Ferrari a chance of winning at Sepang after they struggled in pre-season and at the first race of the year in Australia, but the Spaniard came from fifth on the grid to steal victory.
Although delighted with their unexpected success, Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali and technical director Pat Fry know they still have a lot of hard work ahead.
Di Montezemolo, though, urged the team to make sure that they build on the victory so that it is not the only one of the 2012 campaign.
"This victory must not be an isolated one, but rather the starting point to a season in which we want to be the best," he said.
"To succeed, we have to be the best in our daily work in every sector. We know there is a lot to do, but we also know it's not impossible."
The Ferrari president also threw his support behind Felipe Massa after another disappointing weekend for the Brazilian at Sepang.
According to the team's website, Di Montezemolo underlined that 'Felipe can count on everyone having faith in him and the knowledge that nothing will be left to chance in trying to put him in a position where he can show his undoubted worth.'
