HRT mechanic escapes serious injury

An HRT mechanic was taken to hospital on Friday morning after being hit by Pedro de la Rosa during first practice.

Craig Stubley, first mechanic for de la Rosa, was reportedly hit by the Spaniard's car as he returned to the pits after a run, knocking him to the ground.

Stubley was taken to a local hospital with his HRT team reporting that he has escaped without serious injury.

"Good news! Chess, Pedro's 1st mechanic, is still in hospital for further checkups but it seems that he hasn't got any broken bones," HRT Tweeted.
