Bruno Senna dropped by Hispania

Bruno Senna has been dropped by Hispania Racing for this weekend's British Grand Prix.

Senna, nephew of late three-times world champion Ayrton, will be replaced by the team's test and reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto.

It is understood Senna's release is due to a lack of sponsorship funds arriving on time, although Hispania team principal Colin Kolles is due to make clear the situation in the coming hours.

"The drivers are [Sakon] Yamamoto and [Karun] Chandhok," Kolles told The Guardian. "There is nothing more to say. This is it at the moment. We will make a press release."

According to the newspapr, 'a spokeswoman for the governing International Automobile Federation confirmed that the Japanese test driver Yamamoto and India's Chandhok had been entered for the weekend and not just Friday practice.'
