Concorde talks 'proceeding positively'

Saturday 09-March-2013 10:12

Despite this season set to begin without a new Concorde Agreement in place, the FIA insists talks are "proceeding positively."

The Concorde Agreement is the deal that governs the running of Formula One from the distribution of money to the regulations.

However, this season will begin next weekend without a deal in place after the teams, Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA failed to reach a new Agreement.

Marussia are believed to be the one team who has not agreed the commercial side of the deal while the regulations have also not been signed off on.

However, the World Motor Sport Council met on Friday and insisted that talks are progressing.

"It was noted that the negotiations over the Concorde Agreement were proceeding positively in order to be concluded in the near future," the FIA said in a statement.
