Team boss Colin Kolles has praised Force India's decision to sign Giancarlo Fisichella, saying the Italian has brought out the best in team-mate Adrian Sutil.
With Fisichella out of contract with Renault at the end of last season, the Roman's F1 career looked to be over. However, Force India opted to sign him in a move some questioned.
However, Kolles reckons just seeing the improvement in Fisi's team-mate Sutil is proof enough that the team made the right decision.
"When we signed Giancarlo we knew he would push Adrian to his limits and this is exactly what has happened," Kolles told Reuters.
"Adrian needed a good benchmark to develop his potential and now he has one he's pushing himself a lot harder."
Neither driver, though, has scored a point this season, leaving Force India at the very bottom of the Constructors' standings.
