Force India tech director Mike Gascoyne is already planning for any Safety Car situations that may arise during Sunday's European GP.
This weekend's race takes place at the new Valencia circuit, which is an authentic street circuit, fitted with concrete barriers and a few run-off areas.
As a result many in F1 are predicting that the Safety Car will come at least one on Sunday afternoon with Gascoyne going as far as to set out strategies for his two drivers that will hopefully put Force India in the points.
"Certainly, for a team like us, we would be looking at that," he told Autosport. "You've got the walls and the difficult of getting cars away, so there's going to be a lot of safety cars.
"We may look at strategies that will put us out of sync with the others so we can take advantage of it.
"With strategy, you've got to see what the circuit is like and how the tyres perform, because that might dictate far more what we do. But it's something we will factor into our race strategy."
