Bernie Ecclestone says the BRDC has just two days to sign a contract if they want to host the 2010 British GP.
Ecclestone has been talking to the British Racing Drivers' Club, who own the Northamptonshire circuit, since it became apparant that Donington Park would not be able to raise the necessary funds to host the event.
The F1 supremo has reportedly offered Silverstone the same contract that they rejected just 18 months ago when the BRDC ruled that it was not financially viable.
Ecclestone, though, has warned that time is running to accept his deal or else Britain will not be on the 2010 calendar.
"They say there is not much between us and them, so they should sign," the F1 supremo told The Guardian.
"Maybe they have lost their pen but if they don't find it in the next day or two then that's it.
"I will pull the race off the calendar and there will be no British Grand Prix to argue about."

"Tell Bernie to "Go to Blazes!" His strong-arm tactics and unreasonable demands are not worth putting Silverstone at risk with a unworkable contract. It's time to lay the terms out for the public and to let Bernie know you aren't going to proceed under those terms. Period. Let the teams and sponsors push FOM for better terms."

"The history of F1 is checkered. There is history of manufacturers and teams from many countries. The color coding of what color a country would use, goes back many, many years. I feel that the current confusion in F1 is the result of not only the teams being unable to get their collective act together to act as one force representing their interests, but also the dictatorial rule of the FIA and FOM. Remember, the reason for the idea of a break-away series was due to having the FIA actually audit the books of each team. If you were a team with Renault or Mercedes or BMW or Toyota or Ferrari behind you, would you wish your accounting books to be open for investigation? I am not claiming that anyone could be protecting some sort of illegal activity, but the privacy issue and the necessity of a company being to report to its shareholders can make an outside audit be a kettle of fish that will become spoiled very quickly. I don't believe anyone suggests that a team should not make money. In fact, if the teams can cut their exorbitant costs, they could make even more money. However, would they be able to win or even put on a good show for their sponsors and fans? The answer is unknown. If the FIA was so all-fired and bent on cutting costs, why in the world did Max induce the KERS rule and okay the stepped diffuser? Each of those have cost each team who used them in their cars, many tens of millions of dollars. How is that saving money? Hypocrisy exists in its greediest form within the FIA (power) and FOM (money), all the while trying to get the teams to save money... so they (the FIA and FOM) can have more power and money??? Silverstone is NO DIFFERENT than Monaco or Monza or The Ring. Each should be favored as they can be cost efficient and provide the best racing for the buck. Monaco is expensive to attend, but only because it's a street race in an expensive city."
